Industry sources say a major Moscow refinery has stopped crude processing after a Ukrainian drone strike on September 20 ignited fires in its main distillation units. Moscow’s mayor said an industrial facility was damaged during the drone attacks. Three industry sources said drones crashed into the refinery and both primary crude distillation units burned; repairs and restart could take several weeks. The two core units are AVT-6, capacity 21,400 tonnes/day (53% of the plant), and the EURO+ complex, capacity 18,800 tonnes/day (47%), totalling 40,200 tonnes/day of crude processing capacity.

At a State Council Information Office briefing on the start of the 15th Five‑Year Plan, officials said exploration posted strong gains: Jan–Aug new recoverable oil reserves were about 70 mln tonnes and new recoverable natural gas about 610 bln cubic metres. Anhui’s Chatting copper‑gold deposit and Guizhou’s Zhugongtang lead‑zinc deposit were reported to have added resources at a super‑large scale.
