China’s Ministry of Public Security sent a task force to Madagascar to assist local police in dismantling multiple telecom-fraud cells in Antananarivo and other areas. On Sept. 8 Madagascar repatriated the first batch of 50 suspects to China; cases remain under investigation. The ministry said the operation, coordinated via the newly formed International Anti‑Telecom Network Fraud Alliance, signals deepened international law-enforcement cooperation and that China will maintain a “zero-tolerance” approach to clearing scam dens and pursuing suspects.
