Zhengzhou will roll out a 'one-house-one-code' verification system for existing
housing inventory from October to address false or duplicate listings, unclear
property rights and fake lead-generation. The city will use government big-data
to verify ownership of all publicly posted resale listings and issue a unique
official property code. Residents can scan via WeChat or the Zhenghaoban portal
to view verified ownership, mortgage and seizure records, making listing
information fully traceable and aiming to resolve information asymmetry in
transactions.
