LG Electronics' India-listed shares pared gains, last up 1.2%, after Refinitiv reported the company and Samsung are facing an Indian probe into tariff evasion.

Iran's foreign ministry said Foreign Minister Araghchi met France's foreign minister Barro in New York on Tuesday during the UN General Assembly. Araghchi criticised what he called France's interventionist stance toward Iran, demanded the French embassy respect Iranian domestic law, and said France's position on regional developments — especially over potential US and Israeli military action against Iran — was unacceptable. He accused France of double standards on human rights, alleging Paris has been silent on US and Israeli actions he described as crimes against humanity that have killed Iranian women and children and has cooperated in enforcing illegal US sanctions. He said Iran is willing to build relations with all countries, including France, on the basis of mutual respect and common interests but will take a firm stance to protect its interests and rights.

Iran's parliament deputy speaker said the Strait of Hormuz, in their view, belongs to Iran and that Oman also borders the waterway.
