Sept. 23 — Xiaomi launched its 18 Pro series; supply‑chain sources say the phones use Goodix Technology’s next‑generation touch controller, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and smart audio amplifier.

CENTCOM said it is assembling the world’s first multinational joint attack unmanned aerial systems (UAS) force. The command said its Rapidly Deployable Joint Task Force (REJTF), stood up one year ago, has introduced advanced capabilities including the US military’s first one-way attack UAS squadron in the Middle East and the first sea-launched air-attack UAS from a US Navy vessel. In June an unmanned surface vessel (USV) assisted in rescuing a downed helicopter crew in regional waters; in July CENTCOM recorded the first operational use of a one-way attack USV. The multinational force is presented as a follow-on to those operational advances over the past 52 weeks.

US President Trump sold holdings in major tech names in July, including Microsoft, Amazon and Meta, filings disclosed Tuesday by the US Office of Government Ethics show. Microsoft was the largest disposal — six trades totaling up to $31.0m; Amazon disposals totaled up to $26.0m; Meta up to $0.63m and Alphabet up to $0.365m. He sold about $1.0m of Nvidia in two trades and bought roughly the same amount. Disclosures show his July sell trades exceeded 700 while buys were nearly 400; amounts are reported as ranges, not exact figures.
