At midday close, China’s main commodity futures were mixed. Shanghai crude (SC) jumped nearly 7%, fuel oil rose over 6%, synthetic rubber, low‑sulfur fuel oil (LU) and asphalt gained more than 5%; liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), benzene and No.20 rubber advanced over 4%. On the downside, lithium carbonate fell about 5%, platinum and Shanghai silver dropped more than 3%, red dates slipped nearly 3%, palladium and live hogs were down over 2%, the container‑shipping Europe route eased about 2% and polysilicon lost just over 1%.

US President Trump sold holdings in major tech names in July, including Microsoft, Amazon and Meta, filings disclosed Tuesday by the US Office of Government Ethics show. Microsoft was the largest disposal — six trades totaling up to $31.0m; Amazon disposals totaled up to $26.0m; Meta up to $0.63m and Alphabet up to $0.365m. He sold about $1.0m of Nvidia in two trades and bought roughly the same amount. Disclosures show his July sell trades exceeded 700 while buys were nearly 400; amounts are reported as ranges, not exact figures.
