Iran's president said Yemen's Houthi forces must be held responsible for their actions and that the Houthis do not follow Iranian directives or accept orders from Iran.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence arm said recent Iranian operations have changed battlefield dynamics and increased pressure on U.S. military deployments in the Middle East. The IRGC said Iran's geographic advantages and sustained strike capability make traditional high-cost U.S. operations harder to sustain, forcing reductions in some forward deployments and a shift toward longer-range, more covert operations. It said U.S. bases, runways, hangars, aircraft and naval vessels remain under persistent threat, and that adding troops and equipment would increase exposure and casualty risk. The IRGC cited U.S. deployments in Jordan, losses of unmanned systems and constrained maritime activity as signs of reduced U.S. freedom of action; the remarks constitute the IRGC's assessment of recent U.S.-Iran military exchanges.
