Kiuchi, one of the cabinet’s more pro-reflation figures, said the era of “Abenomics-style” reflation centered on aggressive monetary easing and flexible fiscal policy has ended. He added Japan is no longer in an era of monetary easing and has entered a phase of gradually rising prices and rising interest rates.
