On the 26th (local time) the Israel Defense Forces said it carried out an airstrike earlier that day on a HEZBOLLAH weapons storage facility in southern Lebanon. The military said the site held weapons previously used to attack Israeli soldiers operating inside the so-called "security zone" and that the strike was intended to eliminate an "immediate threat."
