CFTC: For the week to Sept. 22, speculative net longs in WTI crude rose 8,952 contracts to 148,467; speculative net shorts across four major NYMEX and ICE natural-gas contracts fell 27,105 contracts to 27,158.

President PEZESHKIAN said Iran supports resuming the Islamabad memorandum of understanding and favors resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy. He said Tehran values restoring consensus and honoring existing commitments, and will work to create the conditions for "serious, substantive and result‑oriented negotiations," while continuing constructive cooperation on respect for sovereignty, de‑escalation and regional peace and stability.
