Saudi foreign minister will arrive in Washington on Monday to meet Marco Rubio
to discuss bilateral ties and key regional and international issues, media
report. The visit comes as hostilities between Saudi forces and Yemen’s
Iran-backed Houthi movement intensify. Earlier media reports said the Saudi
crown prince sought U.S. military help this month to strike Houthi targets;
Washington declined to conduct airstrikes but agreed to provide intelligence and
targeting support.
