Since early September COMEX gold futures have fallen through $4,200/oz, down over 3%, dragging Shenzhen Shuibei retail gold list prices to 1,068 yuan/gram. The price decline ahead of the National Day holiday has hit the peak retail season: shops report higher foot traffic, decisive wedding-driven buying, restock frequency above last month, roughly 20–30% MoM sales growth and stockouts of some popular styles.

European Commission spokesman said the Commission plans to propose delaying the entry into force of the EU methane regulation; technical work on the proposal is underway.
