SK Hynix (SKHY.O) fell 5%; Meta (META.O) dropped 4.8%; Tesla (TSLA.O) fell nearly 4%; NVIDIA (NVDA.O) rose 1.6%. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index gained 1.1%, with NetEase (NTES.O) up nearly 5%.

Shanghai Stock Exchange and China Securities Index Co. will officially launch the SSE Photovoltaic Sci‑Tech Innovation Leading Index on Oct. 9, 2026. The index will comprise 40 photovoltaic-related securities selected from the STAR Market (Sci‑Tech Innovation Board) and the Shanghai main board, prioritizing companies with higher R&D intensity and stronger growth. The methodology raises STAR Market constituent weights to better reflect the sector’s performance across those boards.
