Sept 28, 2026 — Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin met Edi, deputy minister of
Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. Liu said bilateral ties
have advanced under heads-of-state strategic guidance. China has proposed a
World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization to promote
human-centered, ethical AI, help developing countries share AI gains and prevent
an AI divide from widening. China welcomes Indonesia as an early participant and
said it will work with founding members under a consultative, co-construction
and shared-benefits framework to push the organization’s establishment.
