Press TV reported Iran on Monday flatly denied Saudi outlet Hadath’s claims that Tehran had shown flexibility on its nuclear stance, calling the reports false and part of ongoing psychological warfare. In a Monday evening interview an Iranian official said the US is trapped in the Strait of Hormuz and is using the nuclear issue to divert attention, and that Iran’s position has not changed and there are currently no discussions on the nuclear issue. Press TV said Hadath and related media repeatedly published unverified claims that Iran made concessions on uranium enrichment, nuclear material stockpiles or inspections. Iranian media have described such reports as disinformation and US psychological operations rather than originating from genuine Iranian sources. Parliament speaker Ghalibaf and other senior officials have said Iran’s nuclear rights and missile capabilities are not negotiable.

TASS on 28 cited Russia’s Emergencies Ministry saying a fire at a licensed fireworks and firecrackers plant in Yaroslavl region killed 13 and injured one. The injured has been hospitalised and the blaze is under control. Russian authorities have opened an investigation.
