Lebanon's prime minister said Beirut will seek Israeli withdrawal through
negotiation and insists weapons must be held exclusively by the state. He said
Lebanon is counting on US leadership to push a framework agreement and called
for clear, parallel timetables to secure Israeli withdrawal and the transfer of
weapons control to the state.
