China's Minister of Agriculture Zhang Zhu said on the 29th at a State Council
Information Office briefing that, on the current and 15th Five-Year Plan-period
grain outlook, three points summarize the situation: food security is adequately
guaranteed; grain supply and demand remain in a tight balance; and the supply
structure needs optimization—staple food supply is ample while corn and other
feed grain supplies are relatively low.
