At a State Council Information Office briefing today (29), Minister Yin Hejun said China will accelerate AI-enabled scientific research to reshape research paradigms; strengthen high-quality academic systems, prioritizing emerging and interdisciplinary disciplines; and drive whole-chain efforts to remove bottlenecks in integrated circuits, industrial machine tools and high-end instruments. He said the ministry will also step up R&D in strategic frontier technologies — artificial intelligence, quantum technology, biotechnology and brain–computer interfaces — to seize the technological high ground.

AP reports the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps urged Americans to take to the streets to protest President Trump and what the IRGC called a US war on Iran, saying the Trump administration has already "lost" the conflict. IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohhebi accused the US of "bellicose" policies, said Americans should denounce their leaders' choices, and alleged the US is using Iran's nuclear program as a pretext to plunder Iranian wealth and try to reduce Iran to a colony.
