A-shares consumer sector was mildly stronger, led by liquor and grain names;
vaccine, innovative drug and medical thematic ETFs outperformed, several up more
than 3% on Friday. Despite week-to-date market volatility, multiple broad-based
ETFs attracted net inflows. Cross-holiday funding and repo activity drove heavy
turnover in cash and bond ETFs: Haitong short-term commercial paper ETF turnover
topped CNY70 bln and Yinhua Daily Income ETF turnover exceeded CNY30 bln. As of
Sept. 29, six of the top 10 week-to-date net inflow ETFs were equity products;
ChinaAMC SSE STAR 50 ETF and E Fund ChiNext ETF each recorded net inflows above
CNY2 bln this week.
