Refinitiv reported a Dubai airline flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv diverted to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday after two pilots engaged in a physical altercation and the crew issued a distress signal; an Israeli official said the incident was not a hijacking but it remains unclear whether any pilot deliberately sent the signal. The route is flown daily and is popular with Israeli citizens. Saudi Arabia and Israel currently have no formal diplomatic relations.

EU Trade Commissioner SEFCOVIC said the EU will cooperate with the US and other allies to secure supply chains and prevent the weaponization of critical minerals.
