U.S. President Donald Trump said the last U.S. troops are leaving Iraq, ending the U.S. military presence there.

The New York Times, citing government officials, reports the US Federal Trade Commission is intensifying a broad probe of ANTHROPIC, OpenAI and other firms developing superintelligent AI models to assess potential consumer risks. The agency plans to issue compulsory information demands akin to subpoenas to secure documents and data. FTC chair Andrew Ferguson opened the inquiry prior to the Hugging Face incident. The investigation is focused on possible violations of the FTC Act’s prohibition on unfair or deceptive acts or practices and will seek related records from the companies.
