NYMEX November WTI rose $1.04 to settle at $90.42 a barrel, up 1.16%. ICE November Brent climbed $0.94 to $103.53 a barrel, up 0.92%.

President Trump announced the final U.S. forces are leaving Iraq and declared ISIS defeated. He said Operation "Resolute Determination", begun in 2003, concluded in 2026; coalition forces completed an orderly withdrawal from Erbil airbase along with related equipment. Trump endorsed Iraq’s new prime minister, Ali Zaidi, saying Zaidi won an unexpected landslide. He contrasted the pullout with Afghanistan, citing 13 U.S. deaths and equipment left behind there, and said he instructed commanders to avoid letting temporary deployments become permanent.
