Cross-border travel between Zhuhai and Macau surged ahead of the National Day holiday. Gongbei Customs said on Sept. 30 vehicle crossings under customs supervision, inbound crossings and outbound crossings at Hengqin port hit record highs at 14,975, 7,573 and 7,402 trips respectively, up 22.2%, 20.2% and 24.2% YoY. Macau-plate vehicle crossings exceeded 9,731 trips, accounting for 65% of traffic and also a record.
