BYD said September passenger vehicle sales were 456,713 vehicles, including 183,570 plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles and 273,143 battery-electric passenger vehicles. Cumulative auto sales reached 3.13 mln vehicles.

President Trump said he and South Korea’s president agreed to launch $200bn of new US investment under last year’s $350bn Korea strategic trade and investment pact. The package includes a $120bn US nuclear build of eight large reactors (six Westinghouse AP1000 and two Korean APR-1400); a $50bn Alaska LNG development and new US gas infrastructure to be built by American workers; and a $22bn, 6.4GW gas-fired power plant in Texas.

China said in a finance ministry article published Oct. 1 it will step up counter‑cyclical fiscal support and deepen reforms. Near term it will keep a reasonable deficit and spending scale and use government bonds, including ultra‑long special sovereign bonds and special‑purpose bonds, to ease short‑term economic volatility. Over the longer term it will advance fiscal‑tax reform and strengthen fiscal management to remove bottlenecks to high‑quality growth and improve policy effectiveness.
