France-Germany 10‑year government bond yield spread rose as high as 149.17bps, the largest level since 2012, extending Thursday’s sharp widening, LSEG data show. France has proposed a 2027 budget package including roughly €43bn of spending cuts and cost‑savings. Commerzbank strategists called bond-market developments worrying and said the spread widening is no longer confined to France, clearly spilling over to other high‑debt countries including Italy, Belgium and Greece.
