On the evening of Oct. 1 a suspected bomb threat near Brazil's Supreme Federal Court in Brasília prompted a security operation. Federal District Military Police arrested a man after he attempted to climb the court fence and threw a backpack onto the roof of a nearby bus stop. A bomb-disposal team is examining the bag while police investigate; the area around the court has been cordoned off.
