President Trump said the US will not impose a diesel export ban and has asked
European countries to release additional diesel to help ease fuel-price
pressure. He said Europe holds large diesel stocks and will contribute, and the
US will also help. When asked whether he would rule out export restrictions to
Europe, Trump said relations are good and Europeans are willing to participate.
He added that oil supply should increase as the Iran conflict ends and that oil
prices should soon return to pre‑conflict levels, possibly falling below levels
at the start of his term.
