Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, said Saudi Arabia’s key
east–west oil pipeline is operating normally. AFP had earlier quoted an unnamed
Saudi energy industry source saying the pipeline shut after a pump station was
attacked again over the weekend; that report briefly pushed oil prices higher
before the market reversed on the normal-operation update. As of late last week,
ARAMCO had raised flows on the 7 mln bpd pipeline to over 80% of capacity,
restoring most volumes lost after last month’s attack.
