UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) issued a warning on Oct 5 after receiving a
report of an attack in the Strait of Hormuz. The report said that on Oct 4 a
source reported a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker entering the Strait was
struck by an unidentified aerial object. The advisory gave no details on damage
or casualties. Authorities are investigating. UKMTO urged vessels transiting the
area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.
