Romanian media reported on Oct. 5 that a grain-carrying vessel caught fire and sank in the Black Sea off Romania, killing two crew and rescuing 11. Romania's maritime authority said it received a report of a serious maritime incident at about 11:00 local time in Romania's exclusive economic zone. HotNews reported the ship was struck by a drone. The vessel, flagged to St Kitts and Nevis, was en route to Ravenna, Italy and had been scheduled to arrive on Oct. 12.
