Yemeni Houthi forces said on Oct. 6 they fired ballistic missiles at Abha
International Airport and launched multiple ballistic missiles at the Dagairil
military camp in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan province. The group said the strike on
Abha achieved a direct hit and disrupted airport operations, and that the attack
on the Dagairil camp caused dozens of casualties. The Houthis warned foreign
carriers that Saudi airspace has become an operational military zone and urged
airlines to suspend flights to Saudi Arabia, exempting airspace over Mecca and
Medina.
