Israel's defense minister Israel Katz told ministers at a weekly cabinet meeting
the Israel Defense Forces have been ordered to prepare for a scenario of war
with the Palestinian Authority (PA) and briefed on IDF preparations in the West
Bank. He said if that scenario occurs a state of war with the PA would be
declared and the IDF would launch a full-scale offensive under a detailed plan
approved by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Katz, based on established IDF
principles.
