The White House on Monday refused to allow a Politico reporter to board Air Force One, preventing the outlet from fulfilling its role in the presidential pool, CNN reported. On Sept. 18 Trump announced bans on Politico, CNN and MS NOW from White House access; the three outlets sued and a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order requiring the government to restore their credentials. The White House says access to the White House complex is distinct from permission to travel on Air Force One and has previously denied CNN reporters travel with the president. A court will hold a hearing on a preliminary injunction for the three outlets on Thursday; Politico’s denial is expected to be included in subsequent filings.
