On Oct. 6 Spain’s official gazette published a decree extending port and airport entry controls on travelers from Italy until Oct. 22. The office said security assessments indicate an elevated risk of plots against Israeli and Jewish targets overseas and warned of potential attacks and demonstrations, noting some armed groups and extremists treat the anniversary as a symbolic moment to act.
