Taiwan Economic Daily reported July 7 that Taiwan memory maker Nanya Technology
has begun notifying customers of a new round of DRAM contract-price increases,
with the largest hikes up to about 20%. Nanya declined to comment on customer
pricing. Industry participants say the increases should feed through to higher
ASPs, improved margins and stronger earnings for memory suppliers.
