China's foreign exchange reserves were $3.4003 trillion at end-September 2026,
down $38.1 billion (1.11%) from end‑August, the State Administration of Foreign
Exchange said. SAFE cited a stronger dollar and broad declines in global asset
prices in September, with exchange‑rate translation and valuation effects
driving the monthly drop. SAFE added that China's economy remains broadly stable
with improving drivers and structure, supporting basic stability in the
reserves.
