Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a Houthi political bureau member, told Al Mayadeen TV the movement has sealed a previously reported gap on the Taiz front and is continuing advances toward Taiz city. He said the Houthis had proposed excluding Taiz from hostilities but the other side rejected the plan with "unacceptable" conditions; with Houthi control of the area the proposal is no longer applicable. Al-Bukhaiti warned Saudi Arabia not to expand the Yemen front or internationalize the war and said the Houthis currently have the capability to close all Saudi airports and ports and could target Saudi infrastructure. He added Turkey and Pakistan were unlikely to directly intervene but said any country that intervenes to support Saudi Arabia—even indirectly—would be treated as a participant in the conflict.
