On the 7th, Iranian president Pezeshkian and Russian president Putin held a
phone call and agreed to deepen bilateral strategic cooperation. Pezeshkian said
relations are progressing well and urged expanding cooperation across sectors to
advance their shared interests. Putin said that despite current regional
turmoil, the two sides will continue to strengthen cooperation; Russia supports
diplomatic efforts by some countries to ease regional tensions and is ready to
play a role and provide assistance.
