TrendForce's 2027 Infrared Sensing and Optical Communication Market Trends report says internal data‑center Scale‑Up traffic is driving demand for VCSEL NPO solutions. VCSEL NPO is being prioritized for low power consumption, operational flexibility and a relatively mature supply chain; Lumentum, Furukawa Electric, Coherent, Broadcom, ams OSRAM and HiSilicon are investing in R&D. Multiple VCSEL NPO solutions are expected to emerge in 2027–28, and together with short‑reach optical transceiver demand TrendForce estimates VCSEL market demand could reach 650 mln units by 2031, implying a 38% CAGR from 2025–2031.

China Railway Chengdu Group said Chengdu station carried 7.757 mln passengers during the National Day holiday (Oct. 1–7), averaging 1.108 mln per day. Departures totaled 3.888 mln, up 4.9% vs 2025; arrivals were 3.869 mln, up 6.2% vs 2025. On Oct. 1 the station sent 728,000 passengers, surpassing the May Day first-day peak of 693,000 and marking a record.
