At its Oct. 8, 2026 interim results briefing, China's Huate Gas said ongoing R&D has expanded its import-substitute product count from 22 at listing to 57, widening its domestic product matrix. The company said it remains focused on multi-product development for mature process applications while pushing R&D on advanced-process products to "complete mature categories and achieve breakthroughs in high-end categories," aiming to differentiate from peers and consolidate market position. Huate will prioritize commercializing high-end electronic specialty gases including ethylsilane, hydrogen bromide (HBr) and boron trichloride (BCl3).

RWE said surging data-center electricity demand is increasing Europe's need for grid expansion and reliable generation, and that those costs should not be socialised across all consumers. Europe must accelerate grid buildout to support decarbonisation and rising power demand, but the rapid growth of high-demand data centers is adding infrastructure financing pressure without a clear mechanism to avoid higher bills for households and businesses. RWE CEO Markus Krebber said: "If demand increases, you need to build more grid capacity and more reliable generation. But the parties creating the additional demand are not currently bearing those costs."
