Polish central bank board member Kotecki said Friday the bank may need to raise
rates by 25bps in November if inflation forecasts show CPI will not fall back to
around 2.5% by end-2027 or early-2028. The central bank left the policy rate at
3.75% on Wednesday; September CPI rose to 4.0%. Future rate decisions will
depend on the price outlook and external factors, particularly commodity prices.
