Oct 9 — A circulated social-media screenshot shows Boteli chairman Yuan Yongbin saying a normal driver cannot snap a brake pedal and alleging the Zunjie V800 pedal was broken by lateral prying during a test. He added that 25 kg pedal force can produce peak deceleration and stop a vehicle in about 3 seconds, and that the national standard's 200 kg for 5s is a frontal press, not a lateral pry. After online questions about whether Boteli supplies parts for the Zunjie V800, company staff said on the morning of Oct 9 Boteli does not supply the Zunjie and does not manufacture brake pedals, and confirmed the chairman’s comments were a technical judgment.
