China's Central Committee and State Council issued guidance directing full
implementation of an "AI+" action. The policy mandates accelerated AI-driven
transformation of traditional industries and rapid rollout of intelligent
connected NEVs, AI-enabled smartphones and PCs, humanoid robots and other
next-generation intelligent terminals. It calls for faster innovation in AI and
digital-intelligence technologies, breakthroughs in basic theory and core
technologies, and stronger, more efficient supply of compute, algorithms and
data. Authorities will establish national pilot bases for AI industry
applications and promote high-value application scenarios by region and sector.
The guidance also requires technology monitoring, risk-warning and
emergency-response systems to ensure AI safety, reliability and controllability.
