Flydubai said flights to Riyadh and Yanbu are canceled through Oct. 10; flights to ABHA are canceled through Oct. 11.

China's main domestic futures contracts opened mostly lower: SHFE tin fell about 5%, lithium carbonate dropped over 3%, ethylene glycol (EG) and SHFE lead declined more than 2%, while SHFE zinc, international copper and aluminum alloy slipped nearly 2%. On the upside, methanol rose over 7%, LPG gained nearly 5%, benzene was up over 2%, polypropylene and plastic climbed about 2%, and p-xylene and fuel oil rose just over 1%.

Canadian Chamber economist Anupriya Gangopadhyay said Canada’s labor market weakened further in September after strong spring and summer gains, with employment falling for a second consecutive month. She said the report strengthens the case for the BOC to adopt a more dovish stance at its Oct. 28 policy meeting, adding the bank still must balance weak hiring, inflationary pressure and broader economic uncertainty.
