US, Ukrainian and European negotiators held a six-hour meeting in Miami on
Friday to try to agree a unified proposal to end the Ukraine war, with the aim
of reaching consensus in the coming weeks to present to Russia and secure a
breakthrough before winter. Participants included US representatives (including
Kushner), the Ukrainian delegation and European and NATO representatives.
Discussions covered US and European post-war security guarantees, a Ukrainian
post-war economic plan and a pathway for EU accession; negotiators also
discussed territorial “ideas” on a sensitive issue and a broader
European–Russian security architecture, but gave no details.
