Beijing’s municipal government, in its 15th Five-Year plan to deepen
construction of an international consumption hub, commits to stepping up
new-energy vehicle promotion. The plan calls for improving the used-car
circulation system to facilitate convenient transactions and push trading
markets toward standardization and scale. It seeks to optimize repair, insurance
and related service supply, and to orderly develop aftermarket segments
including vehicle modification, rental, motorsport events and RV/camping. The
government will accelerate pilot reforms in vehicle circulation and consumption
to cultivate new auto-consumption growth points.
