Turkey’s presidential office on the 10th issued a regulation banning children
under 15 from opening social media accounts, effective Nov. 1. Platforms must
verify age at account creation and refuse registrations for under-15s. Accounts
for users aged 15–17 must include parental-control tools, enhanced privacy
protections and content filtering. The regulation also bars platforms from
offering features deemed potentially addictive and prohibits live-streaming
functions.
