French President Macron said France fully supports calls for a genuine energy ceasefire; Ukraine has signalled willingness to accept such an arrangement, while Russia continues to reject it and has intensified strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure in recent hours. France will continue to stand with Ukraine and President Zelenskiy.

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy on the 11th told ABC that which leader Ukraine chooses should be decided by Ukrainian society and its people, responding to U.S. President Trump’s remark that Ukraine needs a new president. Zelenskiy said holding elections during wartime is very difficult, unsafe and would not comply with the constitution without security infrastructure to enable voting. He told Trump’s team Ukraine could hold elections if Russia agreed to a 60-day full ceasefire.
