HKEX said it has co-developed and launched the S&P 500 HKEX Tech 100 Index with
S&P Dow Jones Indices, combining leading S&P 500 constituents listed in the US
and the largest Hong Kong-listed technology companies by market cap. The index,
launched on Sept. 30, 2026, is designed to support ETFs tracking it in
qualifying for Stock Connect inclusion and to serve as a single benchmark for
US–Hong Kong equity allocation, promoting portfolio diversification and
cross-market capital flows.
