Early Monday a fresh attack on Saudi Arabia damped risk appetite: the Saudi
benchmark index fell 0.6% and oil giant ARAMCO declined 0.3%. Most Gulf markets
were marginally higher—Dubai +0.1%, Abu Dhabi +0.1%, Qatar +0.5%, with Qatar
recouping part of a 1.5% loss from the prior session—as investors stayed
cautious amid uncertainty over a wider US–Iran escalation.
